WSIS 2019: Innovation-Track Estonia shared its national experiences in Strengthening ICT centric Innovation for SDG

On 8 April, the Deputy Permanent Representative Anneli Vares together with representatives of Bangladesh, Cyprus,  Greece, Romania, Serbia and  Ukraine shared their national experiences in implementing ICT centric innovation for SDGs.  Estonia stressed that innovation requires political will and collaboration between different stakeholders. Now that over half of the world’s population are using the Internet on a regular basis,  the “digital gap” remains. Estonia has gone through a long way from a fairly poor country in the beginning of the 90s to become a digital society. Estonia is ready to collaborate and share now its experience  in order to help those who need to overcome the “gap”.
