Treaty Bodies

There are nine core international human rights instruments. Some of the treaties are supplemented by optional protocols. Each of these instruments has established a committee of experts to monitor implementation of the treaty provisions by its States parties.

Estonia has ratified most of the core UN human rights instruments and reports regularly to the UN treaty bodies monitoring their implementation.
